Erich Gonzales: Choobi Choobi Restaurant’s Muse

During Choobi Choobi Restaurant’s Grand Opening which was held at LimKetKai at May 1, Erich Gonzales their brand ambassador graced the event. When asked about her favorite dish at the press con., she told us (the media) that she seriously loves every dishes in their menu but her top favorite would be Choobi Choobi’s seafoods. Frankly, we’re in the same team! Side note: I kinda developed an admiration towards Erich starting that day when I noticed her off camera kindness and humbleness, on top of it: she speaks bisaya too!

Choobi Choobi Term Derived From?

You’ll be surprised to know that this quirky term also means “lingaw-lingaw kaon” (having fun while eating). When CDO Blogger’s president asked Choobi Choobi’s manager about it, he elaborately told us that this term was actually coined by a family (also the founder of this brand, if I’m not mistaken). He stated that “if they enjoyed their meal and had fun, they’ll cheer “Choobi Choobi!” it’s the same thing as “lingaw-lingaw kaon”. The statement part is not a verbatim, okay? haha!

How’s The Food?

Okay, I won’t lie, walay pasakay…to be honest (just like Erich’ answer! pede copy paste nlng nako iyang answer?? LOL), I loved all of their dishes served on our table that day. My personal favorite would be their Chilean Mussels, It’s amazing! I will definitely come back for that deliciously, mind blowing stuff. Shrimp In A Bag is a winner too. I tell you, they can assure you their seafood’s freshness level is 100 percent same goes with their produce. And Ohhh! the Choobi Pata (also commonly called crispy pata) is love!

Cagayan De Oro Bloggers Courtesy Call With Mayor

Due to some reasons {reasonable reasons- of course}, some of the CDO Bloggers’ members were not able to attend this important meeting but some of us did. Here’s a few snaps after the successful courtesy call meeting with our City Mayor – Mayor Oca Moreno.

If you look at the picture closely, you’ll see them doing the pout thingy {haha!} Just for fun! Our Mayor is cool like that!

Me Likey Awards!

I was given this award by a fellow blogger slash girlfriend – Penda, who authored the blog Ohpenda.com. Oh yes,I would like you to really take time going through her blog, because you know what ? here’s 3{three} F’s for her blog; – {f}resh, {f}un and {f}unny! hahaha i just made it all up. {lol weirdo}

So, I have no idea why she would award me as Versatile blogger but haha that will do! Being versatile is always a positive trait and a versatile blogger is just ridiculously cooler than cool! Therefore, thank you Penda for this award, and to keep the ball running I would like to pass this award to Clement {also a fellow blogger} owner of  BestSpotPh.

Blogging For Dummies

In US, people would commonly name after their tutorial books, guides and tips handbook with titles like “Cooking Guide for Dummies”, “Parenting Guide for Dummies” etc. Well, i just titled my post the same way because i think it’s an eye catching title. {that is not even my topic, just so you know; this title has nothing to do with anybody, anyhow – my topic is— } When  i first started blogging, oh man… I’ve learned it the hard way. Zero idea – but Blogspot made it easier for me {After a few months of experiment, crazy, i know} After a few years, realized that as long as i can drive traffic to my blog, the essence of a blog or should i say the soul of a blog is the traffic, that’s what keeps your blog up and running; you see, i can earn from just reviewing products.

Apparently I’m speaking a different language here about traffic and to newbies that traffic thingy is definitely a- jargon. sorry, but you know what? the idea is pretty the same with the real traffic we encounter on a daily basis within the city of golden friendship but different because this is the kind of traffic you’ll love someday – if you will be blogging. I personally met some bloggers way back those days, some were able to put food on the table because of the overwhelming opportunities from advertisers and sponsors.

The key in blogging-simple, just keep your blog updated with new posts and that will somehow help increase traffic so it’s easier to get sponsors and advertisers and all of that jazz. BUT don’t just simply take my word, what i really recommend you guys right now is this, learn the basics. Guess what?? Timely, this coming Saturday (March 23th, 2013), CDO bloggers will be organizing a blogging workshop for beginners and if you really want to blog but doesn’t really know how to start? why, you shouldn’t miss this opportunity. Oh and another thing, Just fill out the pre-registration form because this will only be limited to few slots only.

Quick Meeting Over Lunch

Ayala Land and CdO Bloggers had lunch together, having a quick meeting about the upcoming Ayala Land Premier Project and on the same note, regarding how CDO Bloggers can be of help to them. Of course, we CDObies will be able to promote and spread the news to fellow kagay-anon about their wonderful  project. The project will be focused towards  Alegria Hills property which offers luxurious and outstanding quality housing that will definitely wows everybody.

It was very brief discussion and fortunately, At the end of the meeting, we (CDO Bloggers and Ayala Land Premier Branch) came to conclusion that CDO Bloggers should be Ayala Land’s partners in the effort of promoting their project and hopefully out from the promotions, these properties will have their respective satisfied owners.

This year I promised to mingle more, socialize and just to get to know more people. So, I was glad when CDO bloggers announced that they are organizing a gathering for bloggers in Cagayan de Oro. It was a great time to just share thoughts and get to know like-minded people. Unfortunately, I came in late because of the traffic and rain, so I thought it was so brief and I was expecting it would last all night. But, it was okay, better luck next time.

If you are a blogger residing in CDO, don’t hesitate to join us be part of this awesome group. You can learn a lot of things from different individuals with different career path who just love to blog. Who knows, you get tips from bloggers who earn from blogging too- which is cool, right?
